Night Night Puppies

Here is a video that I have been meaning to post for a while. One day I was sitting at the computer and Steele came in with a stuffed dog. He was humming and I asked him what he was doing. He said puppy go night night. Then he started howling like this. He was singing the puppies night night by howling. He had been watching too much Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmations, I think.

Sharks!

A few weekends ago, we went to visit our cousins in Arkansas and on Saturday we took Steele to the Oklahoma Aquarium. He was so excited and all he could talk about was seeing the sharks. I got a few cute pictures. We had a really good weekend at their house and even picked up a new puppy on the way home. Thanks for letting us stay Kevin and Vicki. He also went to play in the fountain in Tupelo at Fairpark with a friends neice. He absolutely loved it. He didn't want to go home. He has really developed a personality in the last few weeks. I think we are finally getting out of the clingy stage and on to going anywhere and doing anything. He loves to give squeezes and kisses. He is also repeating everything we say so you have to be careful.

He loved feeding the turtles at the aquarium and I love the picture above this where his tongue is sticking out. It is hilarious!

Here are the pictures from playing in the fountain. He always tried to "get it" and put his hand in the water. He also loved running under the arches or through them when they got lower. He and Josie jumped on his bed and had a great time playing in his room. The middle picture is his monkey face which he does all the time. He is going to be goofy just like his daddy.

Summer Fun

Here are just some fun pictures of what we've also been doing this summer. Steele loves the swimming pool, can't get him out of it. He loves to jump off the side and doesn't want you to touch him when he's in the water. He thinks he is a fish. He can swim all over the pool as long as he has floaties on. He has some new faces, monkey face, he loves to dance and sing and act silly like his daddy!

Also, my best friend in the world, Jessica had a birthday on July 6th. We havebeen friends since we were little. We grew up right across the road from each other. We got especially close in high school and college. She is the person I tell pretty much everything too and same with her to me. Even though sometimes we may not want to know, ha, ha! She is crazy and loud and has the strangest laugh I've ever heard. But I love it and I love her. I am so grateful for her friendship!We had a great dinner that her dad cooked and some fun stories. I hope you had a great birthday Jess. I love you lots!!

Home Sweet Home

We are finally moved in the house and have our internet back. I have been missing the blogging world without my internet. We love the house, finally getting settled and almost everything up and looking homey. We have so much more room and Steele loves his new big bedroom. I don't have pictures of it yet, we still have to put his bed up and the cornice boards. My wonderful mother-in-law is making all my curtains. She is doing a great job! My wonderful mother has helped us so much and I don't know what I would have done without her. She has been out here almost every night for several months helping me paint and everything else. Really, we couldn't have moved in here without her. I love the house and here are some pics.

This is the front door. Look at those floors, didn't they turn out great. My awesome husband did all of the work on the floors and he is so proud of them. He's even mopped them a time or two! The front door is beautiful. It has beveled glass in all three window panes.

This is the foyer and the door going to Steele's room. There is a large room when you walk in the front door so we split it up into a foyer and living room. I even have a plant that Deloris bought me. Maybe I can keep it alive:)

This is our entertainment center. I really like the old windows which I bought for really cheap and did nothing to them and think they look great!

This is the living room. One of my favorite things about this house is that big brick hearth. It was hard to find paint to go with it, but I love the brick!

This is John Paul's office/deer room. He is an avid hunter as you can tell and loves to display his trophies.

This is my green kitchen. I love the colors in here. All of my paint came from Sherwin Williams and I love all of it, but the green is one of my favorites. We painted all the cabinets and put the ceiling fan in here, got new countertops and a new sink. Everything else was already in the house.

This next picture is our bedroom. I really wanted chocolate walls and everyone kept telling me it would be to dark, but it turned out wonderful. The windows give lots of light so it's not dark at all. I got my bedspread at Ashley Home Store and loved it the minute I saw it. It fits perfectly.

This is Steele sleeping in his big boy bed. He still doesn't sleep all night but he loves to lay on it and watch his movies. I will post some pictures of his room later.
