Oh Brother!

These pics were actually right before we went to get his hair cut. I love them. I love that they love each other and I hope they will get along great as they grow up!
Squeezes (not sure what Kase is thinking)

(I love that Kase is holding on to Steele's arm in this one.)

Serious Conversation

usually goes something like this

Steele: Hey Kase! Whatcha doin? Huh? Well tell me about it.

said in a very country voice these days

I love this little chunky monkey. He is just a happy, sweet ball of love.

I also love this little wild man! He is a bundle of energy and keeps me on my toes EVERYDAY!!

Wow... it's been a while!!

It has been quite a while since I posted, where has July gone? I have so many pics from 4th of July, days at the park, Steele's new do, and many more. I guess I will make several posts. I'll start with Steele's new do. Shortly after those pics from the last post were taken, Steele was in need of a haircut. He wanted it cut short like CoCo's ( his cousin) and his Pop's. It's just hair and it will grow back. He loves it. It is so much cooler and easier. He would look at himself in the mirror for several days after and just smile or scream "My hair!". It was so funny.

Firsts, Firsts, and More Firsts ( and a little Steele too)

Kase is almost 4 months old and is starting to do quite a few little tricks and other fun things. He is getting really good at holding his head up and this is his first official time to do it without the boppy.
He is also eating rice and oatmeal cereal. He loves, loves, loves him some cereal. He is already trying to grab the spoon. This is his second attempt at cereal I think. He wasn't that crazy about it the first time.

He is also sitting with assistance and this is his first time in his bebe'POD. He likes to play with the toy and look around at stuff but is still a little wobbly and leans to one side. I think we aren't quite ready for this yet.

And last, he has been for his first swim and a few more. He loved the water the first time but not so much since then. It's also a little hot out there for him these days. He would rather be in the AC (so would I).

Typical Temper Tantrum

You know you have to capture their dual personalities at some point:)

Congrats Kisses!

Congrats to Lindsey or Kisses as Steele calls her. I can't believe she graduated high school this year. I remember when she was an itty bitty toddler, an annoying middle schooler, and a very trustworthy, smart, and sensible teenager as she is now. She is soooo good with Steele and Kase and all children in general! She is not always easy to find because as all almost 18 year olds do she doesn't like to stay at home, but she can always be counted on if she tells me she will do something for me! I love her so much and wish her a great, fun summer and a wonderful college experience at ICC next year. We love you Kisses!!

Chunky Monkey

I thought ya'll might need to see this cute, sweet little chunky 2 1/2 month old since the last two posts have been all about the big one. He is laughing, talking, and cooing ALL the time now. He doesn't like to nap during the day, but still loves him some bottle, he is up to 7 ounces at a time. I think he is going to love him some rice cereal here shortly. He weighed in at 15 lbs. 8 ozs. Friday when I took him in because he was running fever. He had gained one ounce for every day since we had last been there.

Steele Slips and Slides

"Swip and Swidin"
He loves his new "swip and swide" and has been found outside stripped down to bare booty playing on his slip and slide! He was so cold this day but would not stop.

Steele is 3!!!

I can't believe my baby boy turned 3 on Tuesday. We had his birthday party Sunday at our house, he had a Scooby Doo party. He had so much fun playing with his friends and with his new presents. He got a new playhouse and a sand/water table. He wants to be outside all the time now! He also got some books and some monster trucks, of course. He was so funny opening presents and he had to blow out the candles twice!
On his birthday we had to take Kase to the doctor in Tupelo. When we got done, Gram and I took him to Ballard Park to feed the ducks and play. He loved feeding the ducks, he had so much fun. Then that night John Paul and I took him to Chuck E. Cheese in Tupelo. Jason and Carly came with us and we had a good time. His favorite game was Skee Ball. He had a great birthday!
May 19, 2006, just a few minutes old

His 1st Birthday

2nd Birthday

3rd Birthday

At 3 Steele is outgoing and silly. He is very energetic and pretty easily entertained. He loves cars, monster trucks, and animals. He loves to watch movies and cartoons. He loves his Baby Kase but won't leave him alone for one minute. He knows all of his letters and numbers to 15. He is going to 3 year old Kindergarten in August at our church, he is so excited. He is a very loving boy but also WILD!!

Kase's 2 month stats

We went for Kase's 2 month check up on Tuesday. He is a BIG boy. He weighed in at 14 lbs. 14 oz. and was 25 1/4 inches long. He is in the top percentile for his age. I looked back in Steele's baby book to compare and he is the size Steele was at 4 months old. Actually 3 ozs. more than Steele was at 4 months. WOW!

He is starting to try to roll over from his back to his tummy. He still loves lights and ceiling fans. He also loves to swing in his swing outside while Steele plays. He is such a good baby!

Boys will be boys...

Well, we have had our first real trip to the Emergency Room with Steele. He was playing at the shop with Pop when he pulled a 60 lb. vice onto himself. It knicked his head and scratched his arm. He had to have one stitch in his head full of hair. When Pop brought him up to the house, all I could see was the blood all in his hair, all over Pop's shirt, and couldn't really find the cut because of all his hair. He was really pretty good until we had to wrap him up in the sheet. He started crying huge alligator tears. He was screaming "Momma, let go of my legs. I love you." and "Get all your hands off of me!". He also had to have a cat scan, but he did great for that. I feel that as much as he gets into, this will probably not be the last time we are there. You can't even tell it now and it hasn't slowed him down a bit!

Fence Climbing 101

After Steele took a tumble from climbing over the fence, (we looked out the window and he was hanging by one arm) Aunt Clare decided to teach him the proper way to climb it. I just enjoyed taking pictures of my soon to be 3 year old.

Big Brother Steele

Well... Steele is still adjusting to being a big brother. I think it frustrates him that Kase can't do anything so he messes with him. He loves to talk to him in the mornings, he always wants to know if he's awake or asleep, and has to know where Baby Kase is at all times. So I definitely think he loves his brother, but Steele is also the type to do everything he can to get some kind of response from someone. So Kase will definitely be a tough guy after putting up with Steele, he'll have to be.

Steele will be 3 in a few short weeks and I can't believe it. Time goes by so fast! Here are some of his favorites right now...

*apples and strawberries

*race car brownies

*going to church

*monster trucks

*playing with Chick and Cole (his puppies)

*pulling out every toy he owns

*laying in his bed

*riding the lawnmower with his daddy

*watching Curious George and Scooby Doo

His new favorite saying is "I'm tired of doing ...."

Sweet Kase

*the ceiling fan (he stares at it even if its not on)
*milk and lots of it
*his frog blankie(in the pics)

*big lights
*to be held

He dislikes...
*sleeping in his bassinet during the day
*waking up in his swaddling blanket
*Steele in his face
*diaper changes
*when you first put him in the car (but then he goes to sleep)
He has already been a few places...
*2 baseball games
*church a few times
*Wal-Mart (of course)
*our vet's office
