Thoughts and Ramblings of Steele

Last night as I was sitting as properly as I could in the recliner at 8 months pregnant, Steele says "Mommy, your belly is soooo big!" and then goes on with watching his cartoons.

This morning while looking at my belly, the conversation was like this:

Steele: "Mommy you have scratches." referring to my many stretch marks.

me: "No, they are stretch marks, some are from you and some from Baby Brother (who is still nameless).

Steele: "Oh, stretch marks. Daddy, Mommy has stretch marks. Can I get in there?"

me: "Get in where, my belly?"

Steele: "Uh huh".

me: "No, you can't get in my belly, baby brother is in there and he's getting ready to come out soon and meet you."

Steele (in his high pitched really excited voice): "Daddy, Baby brother is getting ready to come out of Momma's belly and meet me." (so sweet)

I can't wait to see my two boys grow up together!

On a totally different topic but continuing with Steele's ramblings, here is his newest movie quote from Toy Story:

Mr. Potato Head: Hey Hamm, Hey look, I'm Picasso.

Hamm: I don't get it.

Mr. Potato Head: Are you uncultured swine? (turns around to another toy) What are you looking at Hockey Puck?

Steele says this all really fast and together without who said it of course. I'm trying to get it on video but he doesn't perform on demand. Here is a picture of him and Mr. Potato Head and this is how Mr. Potato Head kind of looks when he is saying this on Toy Story.

Thought of the Day

"Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling snow while it's still snowing." -- Phyllis Diller, comedian
I saw this in one of my parenting magazines today and thought that it describes my life perfectly right now. There really is no sense in cleaning a child's room during the day because it is going to look exactly the same or worse in about an hour.
