My Sweet Little Smile

Some news that I forgot to post over the week is that last weekend my sweet little man's face was bitten by a dog. While at a family cookout, Steele chose to try to steal a bone away from a dog. It was not one of our dogs and I was not there at the moment. Steele is very bad about just bothering dogs. He does it to our labs and they just let him do whatever he wants without moving. This dog, however, did not let Steele do as he wanted. He fought back and left bite marks on my baby's face. They are much better now, but this is what I arrived to on Saturday. I was horrified, but it could have been much worse. It sure didn't slow him down any!!

Wedding Festivities

On Saturday some good, good friends of our are getting married. I just wanted to congratulate Carly and Jason. They are such great people and I know they are going to be so happy together. John Paul and Steele are in the wedding. I'm getting nervous about the little man being the ring bearer. I just know he is either not going to go down the aisle or he is going to go wide open. He absolutely loves Jason and Carly. He goes around talking about Carly and Jas, Carly and Jas all the time. Now Jason has taught him to say Whoop, whoop! He might just do that in front of the whole church. Hopefully he won't though and I know they will have a beautiful wedding. These pictures are from their couples tool and outdoors shower. It was a fun time to celebrate Carly and Jason. We love ya'll!

Steele's Birthday Party

Steele had his 2nd birthday on Monday. I can't believe he is 2 already. These are some pictures from his party. Of course, the theme was CARS. We had family and friends over for some hamburgers, hot dogs, and of course cake and ice cream. Marmie had his cake made and it was so cute. It was Lightning McQueen. He got so many presents we don't know what to do with all of them. My child has more cars than you can count and he knows the name of every single one. He loved opening presents, he would squeal and say Ooooo! He didn't want to eat or blow out the candles because he wanted to play with his new toys. We had a great afternoon and it was a wonderful way to celebrate Steele's 2nd birthday! Thanks to everyone who came!

Getting Ready for the Weekend

Well, Steele will be 2 on Monday so we are gearing up for the birthday party. Of course he wants a CARS birthday party. My child is obsessed with Cars, the movie and all of the cars in it. So we are about to head to Tupelo to get Cars birthday accessories.

Also, he has decided that he does not like naps at all. He hasn't taken a good one in about 3 days. He will only go to sleep during the day in the car. Oh, no!! Yesterday he was being really weird. He would play with all his toys and then make a pile of them on the couch. Then he just got up on the couch beside them and sat and watched TV. He is such a mess. He amazes me everyday at the words he knows. He is talking my ear off.

We had a great Mother's Day. We went to church and then had steaks at Bub and Deloris's, they were wonderful. My mom and Nanny came and ate with us also. It was a great afternoon.
Friday night the cousins are coming to town. We are excited to see Brooks, Drew, Landon, Vicki, and Kevin. We wish they lived closer. Can't wait to see ya'll on Friday!!

Whew, It's Monday again...

Well, it was a busy weekend for me. Friday night I went to Memphis for a friend's bachelorette party, Carly and Jason are getting married May 31. They are good, good friends of ours and Steele and JP are both in the wedding. John Paul and I are quite nervous about Steele being in the wedding. He seems to have a mind of his own most of the time and doing what everyone else wants him to is usually not in his plans so we'll see if he walks down the aisle of the church or not. We had a great time in Memphis celebrating Carly's last weekend with the girls.

Saturday Steele and I went to Pazli's 1st birthday party. Pazli is my neice and she is the cutest little thing. She was so good and loved all the birthday festivities. Steele loved it too and if my sister didn't cut the cake, I thought he was going to pull it off the table. All he said the whole time was cake, cake. It was fun celebrating Pazli's first birthday with her and the fam on Saturday. After the party we came home and met some people who came to pick out a puppy, painted at the house a little bit (it's coming along great!), and played outside for a while.

Sunday was a normal day I guess, church and then lunch at Nanny's house. Uncle Mark and Leona were home so everyone was there. It was good to see Leona, she hasn't been feeling well lately. Colton came home and spent the afternoon with us. Steele thinks CoCo hung the moon. He cried, cried when Colton had to go home. It was a great Sunday afternoon, gorgeous day outside. Then one of the dogs decided to have puppies, so I got only about 3 hours of sleep. So now we have 7 new puppies and one tired me.

Steele and the puppy were very interested in Aunt Clare's worm.
